A Mr Wilson’s Second Liners and Durham BRASS Festival Production
Join Mr Wilson’s for a top secret rave experience…
The early 90s were seminal for dance and electronic music and inspired a generation of would-be DJs, musicians and ravers. The disused warehouses and open fields of The North were a hot bed of communal dance experiences, fuelled by a hungry, dynamic and radical youth culture. In a time before smartphones, and social media, young people mobilized in their thousands, spontaneously congregating to dance and make memories.
Mr. Wilson’s Second Liners invite audiences on a brassy, nostalgic trip to revisit the rush of old school raving and to pay homage to those diehard days of dance. Promised Land is an adrenalin-fuelled dusk expedition, audaciously disruptive and exhilaratingly secretive. With live music and vocals and atmospheric lighting, Promised Land is a rose-tinted flashback to a lost euphoric era.
Promised Land will take place at a secret location.
Upon purchasing your ticket, you will be provided with the ‘Party Line’, a phone number you can call to reveal details about the show. The location of Promised Land will be shared on the Party Line the night of the event. We can assure you, it will be worth the wait.
All you’ll need then, is to dig out your raving shoes and come ready to party.
- The site will be based in central Durham
- We will also be hosting some fine food and refreshment vendors that you have come to know and love from previous Brass events.
- The event is suitable for all ages.
The site is wheelchair accessible.
We realise that a ‘secret location’ may be a deterrent for individuals or groups with particular access needs. However, Mr Wilson’s and Durham BRASS Festival aim to ensure this production is open to all.
Therefore, when booking your ticket, please select the Access Ticket. By doing so, we will be able to email you directly more information about the event and the site. However, in the meantime, please email any queries/access needs you may have to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond with further details but without revealing the surprise!
