Kingsgate Bridge

‘Floral Derrangement’ is a public sound installation created specifically for BRASS 2011. Sound artist Scanner has taken a recording of the popular piece of music ‘The Floral Dance’, recorded by Brighouse and Rastrick Band in 1977, and processed and stretched it to 130 times its original length.

This languid, epic piece of music creates harmonies that are stretched beyond comprehension with ethereal oceanic effect.
